Re: Tutorials?

The new release of Red Carbon will have the option of using a 1 or 2 tier tab navigation system and will be vBadvanced compatible

A release will be made in the coming days...

Re: Tutorials?

Superb news

I assuem we will be advised though how to change tabs as there are some standard ones I want to replace with others - for example we do not use the Calendar tab at all.

Very good news about the vBa compatability. Drooling already

Re: Tutorials?

Certainly

We're just working on our new licensing and shopping cart system to fully support multiple versions of styles aswell as extra modules etc. Once we're happy with the new system we'll be releasing the new styles and modules

Re: Tutorials?

Intriguing, so does this mean we'll be able to buy colour variants, and other bits and peices for reasonable fees

If you could expand on what sort of things you are planning that would be appreciated.

Re: Tutorials?

Our two main modules (available for each style) are vBulletin Blog module and vBulletin Project Tools module. A vBadvanced module will be included with all styles free.

We have not planned any service such as colour variants, though we main certainly look into this once we've deployed our new license system.

Of course if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them

Re: Tutorials?

Good news again. Am I missing something though as I tried to find the vB Blog module on site but could not see it listed anywhere for purchase - or is this coming online with the new licensing system too?

How will the vBadvanced module work, will it changes the standard style in part an show up therefore as a seperate product? (I'm hoping that this will work with GARS as well as that suffers the same problem as vBa - a lack of rounded corners.

Colour variants (say based on the primary colours) would be very useful indeed as would other tutorials based on things like changing the surrounding images (outside of the 80% span width of the forum).

Such free tutorials / customisations would assist vSZ in standing out in the world of vB style authors

Oh dare we hope that the new incarnation of Red Carbon for 3.6.8 wil now be XHTML complaint?

The module comes both as a product (to turn on/off the available options) and as a style file (to update the style to work with vBadvanced, in other words update the templates to add the rounded corners etc).

There are plans to offer free modules for 3rd party products such as GARS the future

I agree, certainly we will look into writing such tutorials in the future

Re: Tutorials?

Sounds good to me

Will be interesting to see how the different styles work as I assume there will have to be Carbon Red Standard and Carbon Red vBadvanced?

Any clearer ETA yet?

Cheers

Re: Tutorials?

Sorry for barging in on this thread, but I think I may have even more questions than tekguru here on the same topics. I am planning on buying the "Red Carbon" theme for my forum (www.consolespot.net/forums) there is my forum for referance.

I was wondering, in your new system will the theme price be the same price of €20.00? Also, if I choose to buy it now and wanted a upgrade later will I need to re-purchase or are upgrades free?

I am also wondering when will the new system be open and running, and ETA like tekguru asked would be great. Furthermore, I would not require vbadvanced template because my front page is a custom coded PHP portal.

I wanted to know once I purchase the skin and wanted minor customizations here and there, would I be able to get them for free by talking to one of your consultants?

Thank You very much for your time.
