Re: vBulletin 4 Updates

Hi,

Is there a status update?

I'm being FORCED to upgrade from 3.8.3 to 4.0.3 this month (stupid new licensing from vBulletin) and I want to continue to use Aria.

Hey MaestroX. I'd like to think that I've been one of the most patient ones, but the lack of updates from yourself is starting to get a bit insulting...

Even if you're just saying "Look I still don't have a solid plan but am working on it, will have a solid plan in xyz days" then that's all I'm after.

One way or another communities such as myselves have to move on, if that's with a skin from VBSkinZone, or different provider, or even different forum software.

Re: vBulletin 4 Updates

I have to agree with Stubbed.
At least you can give us a Work In Progress report.

Consider that we are your customers, we have been supporting your work but we also have our communities based on 3.8 even if VB4 is 6 months up.

Your products were (and still are) advertised by you as being "Compatible with the latest vBulletin version".

It would be nice to see any progress that proves the above...

Pitty... It seems that MaestroX has not logged into (t)his forum since 29/5!
The bots ram this place and we get no answers...

Re: vBulletin 4 Updates

Hi everyone,

Apologies for the lack of updates.

At the moment I have no intention of releasing updates for vBulletin 4.0.x. I'm waiting until they fix the style system promised in version 4.1.

I know this isn't what you guys would like to hear but it is unfortunately the case. I can't invest any more time and loose money coding styles for the current version of vBulletin which will need to be reworked again for 4.1.

I hope you can understand the predicament I'm in, and believe me this isn't the news I wanted to bring but with the current mess we've been given by vB team I've got no other option.

Thanks

Re: vBulletin 4 Updates

MaestroX the 4.04 is out in 2 weeks time and it contains a Style Generator. This means that the Style System has been completed.
