| Re: vBulletin 4 Updates
I'm not in any major hurry. I'm not going to be upgrading to VB4 until I have Red Carbon, and I'm sure I speak for everyone else when I say we'd rather have a more polished skin release rather than having to upgrade every five minutes!

Delayed again. Maybe I shouldn't have said I wasn't in a major hurry? I actually really hate the fact it's being delayed for what it is, I'm sure I'm not in the minority but IE6 only accounts for 4.5% of my visitors.. |

| Re: vBulletin 4 Updates
It's still important for the wider community that the issues are fixed. They've been there since BETA and only now they are being addressed. We'll have to wait another week to see what progress has been made.

| Re: vBulletin 4 Updates
Let's give MaestroX some time to update the style :-) Vbulletin 4.0.2 is only out for some days and i assume it take at lease a week or more to update all the templates. I prefer to wait and get a good style rather that have a fast updates style with bugs... Regards, Karel |

| Re: vBulletin 4 Updates Thanks for all the kind support ![]() To keep everyone informed, updates are in the works, although it will take time. As I am less than pleased with the current coding of the default style, I'm looking at coding a framework that will be the base for all the skins. The framework will only support LTR languages. Why? Skins can be coded more efficiently with less bugs, and be quicker to develop. Also I can't reliable test RTL languages. (This was less of an issue with vB 3.8 table based layout, but is one of the primary reasons for the slow development and issues with the vB4 style). This is what I think to be the best course of action for all our customers and should lead the way to better skins. |

| Re: vBulletin 4 Updates
Is there a time frame at all? As I won't be upgrading to vb4 until (might give the software more time to mature anyway, which is good) I can get my seasons skin on vb4. I'm just frightened my competitors will get the one-up on me and upgrade first. I guess in the end it will be worth it though ![]() Btw, I will happy to test anything once it's ready for testing - ideas or whatever aswell welcome. Just drop me an email or add me to msn/yahoo - i've pm'd you the details. |
