Any idea how I can hide the Home Panel and Login box?

As I'm using SSO for my forum, users need not use the login box.

What do you mean by the home panel? To remove the login box in the navbar template find the tag starting:

<td nowrap="nowrap" class="alt2">

and delete until you find the end tag:

</td>
