How much or how hard would it be to get the post style in this theme to have all the users info on the left on their post, instead of just before it.

yes you can after you upload it you can go to the admincp/option /style and laug..

under it look for this : use legacy(vertical) Postbit Template

As above, you need to use the postbit legacy option.
