Ok, so what's the best way to upgrade a skin on a live site?

I use a slightly modified copy of Red Carbon on my site, and want to upload the newest one, but how do I do it with out disrupting peoples choice of skin?

For me set the new Red Carbon up as a skin and then use the Force Skin for XX user Mod to force it to be in use for yourself. Modify away and then when happy release to the readership.

Can't you create the other skin and then in the admin panel make a certain skin default (over-ride members selection) till the new one is ready to go live?

I haven't tested this or did it since i only use one skin.
