Compatiblity with 3.7.10

Oops, I mean compatibility with 3.6.10 sorry!

Hi. Was just getting ready to perform the 3.6.10 upgrade of vbulletin on our site and noted it has some heavy template changes due to the security flaw they found.

Does Red Carbon 3.6.9 work with the new upgrade? I currently am running 3.6.8 still and had been waiting on 3.7 Stable before performing any major upgrades. Now planning on performing the 3.6.10 upgrade as soon as possible.

If it does work are there any steps I should take prior to performing upgrades... uninstall the template? Upgrade the style after performing the update or before?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Compatiblity with 3.7.10

I could be wrong but I think all the changes needed are made by the upgrade process itself, it certainly advised me that all the styles had been updated - this is on my test forum of course.

I still get a masive list of messages saying the 3.6.9 style needs updating but I think this is just the version numbers.

Chris can you conform that this is the case?

Hello,

Thats correct, the changes needed for 3.6.10 to fix the templates are included in the update so no manual update is needed. Any "out of date" templates are usually version numbers as tekguru states.

If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Okay if that is the case I'm going to go for the upgrade

MaestroX are you able to change the skin version number once the upgrade has bene performed so we can get rid of the template error messages?

Unfortunatly Jelfsoft make it quite difficult to change the version numbers on templates manually. The easiest workaround it to open the affected template and save it without changing it. This updates the version number.
